LOTM Investment style:
Tom is a GARP investor (growth at a reasonable price) looking for stocks or industry sectors that have sold down but fundamentally & technically appear to be positioned to rally. Stan Weinstein in perhaps the greatest market book written, How to Profit in Bull and Bear Markets, would describe it as, buying a stock as it is emerging from stage one and entering stage two market cycle
Where Value meets Technical Analysis
Behavioral advantages from Mr. Market’s emotions are sought from the market through counter intuitive interactions with fear and greed. Most of Tom’s positions are staged in and staged out over different timelines. This is true even if the time period is as short as buying in one day and selling out the next or if the holding period is multiple years. Tom’s style can also be described as building a core position and the trading partial positions around that position. He is also an active user of options.
