I have been slowly adding to a new position in the largest cap Crypto currency Index through the purchase of Bitwise 10 Index (BITW)*. I would like to do a DeFi ETF, but they are not available yet. There are multiple ETFS in application stage at the present time. This is fresh money waiting to get involved in Blockchain. Institutions are participating in private pools at the moment. You want to get positioned now prior to the retail market coming on board the Blockchain crypto band wagon.
BITW does trade at a premium to its Net Asset Value (NAV). The net asset value on Sept 9, 2021, is about $47.81. Try to buy on weakness and as close to NAV as you can. I don’t have a big position in BITW so I will be dollar-cost-averaging into a position over time.
It looks like BITW is now on a short-term sell signal. My guess is $50 is a worst case price in the dip but I would not be surprised it this is the correction low right now. The shares broke out above the 20-day M.A. from about $40.00 / rallied to a high of $65.54. Half of that rally for a 50% correction is a price of $57.77. We are now at $55.00. My guess is the correction will find a bottom here. There are no rules in crypto – you either like it and accept the volatility or are not going to bother with it. Personally, I believe it is the future as presented in the Sergey Nazarov video above. So, I want as much exposure as I can get and will be a holder / accumulator of Blockchain assets. Still early days.
