Bittensor (TAO) is HOT

Two Crypto companies have applied to establish Bittensor (TAO) ETFs.

These two companies are

  • GaryScale – where they are converting an already established TAO Trust, symbol (GTAO), into a ETF format.
  • Bitwise is establishing a new Bittensor (TAO) ETF.

This is new buying/sponsorship coming into the thinly traded altcoin – Bittensor (TAO)*

Bittensor, the altcoin, and the three DATs (digital asset treasuries) below are tiny companies with very small number of shares outstanding. They are illiquid traders. What nakes the attractive is that the market caps of the three DATs is close to the value of its current holdings of Bittensor. In addition the valadation/staking return on the Bittensor held is apx 14% annually. Therefore, the TAO DAT companies are a very good proxy for owning the altcoin TAO. The revenue gives these three companies immediate cash flow revenue at a high rate of return from valadation/staking activity.

LOTM: We suggest a own a basket of the companies above. Our perspective is that could be attractive as a short term trade and a long-term osition. Returns are often determined by management of the positions through dollar cost averaging and tax loss management. The worst management approach is to make one purchase in one company and look fo a single exit price. This approach might work once in awhile, but it has a lower probability overtime. This is a management style in dealing with tiny companies.

What does Bittensor do?

Bittensor creates a decentralized marketplace for artificial intelligence, allowing developers to share AI models, data, and computing power on a blockchain network, rewarding contributions with its native TAO token. It uses distinct “subnets” for specific tasks (like text or image generation), where miners offer AI services and validators verify quality, creating an open, market-driven alternative to centralized AI companies by incentivizing useful intelligence and fostering collaborative innovation.

LOTM Related account will be active in buying the DAT names above today.

Interviews of Note:

Everyone Thinks Bittensor Is “Just Another Altcoin”

Crypto adoption isn’t just about price charts or hype cycles. Some of the biggest shifts happen quietly — before most people notice. In this video, Captian Altcoin explains why decentralized AI, and specifically Bittensor (TAO), represents one of the most important economic transitions happening right now. This isn’t about short-term speculation. It’s about incentives, coordination, and why markets outperform centralized control — a theory first described nearly 100 years ago.

We break down: Why centralized AI companies struggle with allocation and coordination. How classic economic theory (Coase, Hayek, Mises) applies directly to AI. What Bittensor actually does beyond being “just another altcoin.” Why TAO is a coordination mechanism, not a meme or hype token. How decentralized AI mirrors the rise of open-source software and the internet. Why this shift matters far beyond crypto price action.

Dan Tapiero’s Macro Outlook: Why Markets Will Rip Into 2026

In this episode of Milk Road, Dan explains why this brutal Bitcoin pullback isn’t the start of a bear market… but the mid-cycle cleanup before an explosive run into 2026. He breaks down the real macro forces at play, why Powell’s policy errors are setting up a generational liquidity wave, and why Bitcoin’s fundamentals today are 10× stronger than in 2021, yet the market is still mispricing everything.

What BlackRock, Coinbase and 11 other industry giants predict for crypto in 2026

Jan 2nd, 2026 by DLNews

“It is the fastest-growing technology we’ve seen in the history of our company.” Jack Azagury, group chief executive for consulting at Accenture, told me. The numbers are all positive, but at the same time, AI’s main weakness is lack of a “digital core,” he cautioned.

  • Bitcoin & Crypto is the second fastest growing industry above growth of the Internet and Smart Phones.
  • Bitcoin and Crypto is the best way to profit from AI expansion.

In 2026, the synergy between AI and blockchain has evolved from theoretical pilot projects into a critical foundation for a self-coordinating digital economy. This convergence focuses on establishing trustworthy intelligence by using blockchain to verify AI decisions and data sources.

1. Autonomous AI Agents & On-Chain Governance

AI agents are increasingly operating independently on blockchain networks, performing complex multi-step tasks with minimal human oversight.

  • Intent-Based Execution: Large language models (LLMs) are replacing manual transaction signing. Users can now use natural language to execute complex operations, such as “rebalance my portfolio into high-yield stablecoins,” which agents perform automatically.
  • Agentic Finance: AI agents manage decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), vault strategies, and lending by reasoning about real-time risk and reward, shifting competitive advantage from human effort to computational power.
  • Decentralized Coordination: Emerging protocols (like x402) allow agents to pay each other instantly and permissionlessly for data, API calls, or GPU time, effectively making money a “network behavior”.

2. Verified AI & Algorithmic Accountability

As generative AI produces vast amounts of synthetic content, blockchain serves as the “immutable memory” for AI activities.

  • Data Provenance: Blockchains record the entire history of an AI model, from data collection to deployment, providing a transparent, auditable trail to mitigate “black box” risks and ensure regulatory compliance with acts like the EU AI Act.
  • Verifiable Computing: Advances in Zero-Knowledge Machine Learning (ZKML) allow developers to prove a model was executed correctly without exposing sensitive data. By late 2026, ZK-provers are expected to be efficient enough to run on smartphones, enabling verifiable cloud computing at scale.

3. Decentralized AI Infrastructure

New marketplaces and decentralized networks are democratizing access to AI resources.

  • Tokenized Compute & Data: Platforms like Bittensor (TAO) and Fetch.ai enable developers to collaborate and monetize AI models or share GPU power through decentralized marketplaces.
  • Decentralized Data Marketplaces: These allow individuals to own and monetize their data for AI training through smart contracts, ensuring fair compensation and reducing the dominance of centralized corporate silos.

4. Smart Industry Synergies

  • Intelligent Smart Contracts: Traditional static contracts are becoming “adaptive,” using AI to analyze real-time market trends or risk data to adjust terms like interest rates or delivery schedules automatically.
  • Healthcare (DeSci): Blockchain-secured “digital twins” and federated learning enable real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance in smart buildings and healthcare while protecting patient privacy through encrypted data processing.
  • Fraud Detection: AI models continuously analyze on-chain transaction patterns to detect anomalies (e.g., money laundering) in real time, with blockchain providing the immutable record for enforcement.
